The scent of anise essential oil is rich and sweet and of
licorice. It is thin and clear and freezes at cool temperature but quickly
warms to free flowing again. It is a top note in oil blends.
Anise essential oil has a narcotic and sedative effect
slowing down circulation, respiration and nervous response. In larger doses (not
recommended because of possible adverse side effects) it can stop an epileptic
seizure or a hysterical outburst.
It aids in stimulating circulation and reduces pain when
applied topically in therapeutic massage.
Anise oil is antiseptic and protects wounds from infection.
This oil is a relaxant and an anti spasmodic aiding in
cramps including muscle, menstrual and gastric.
It also eases bronchial spasms and coughs. Anise essential

Because of its slight sedative effect anise eo is used for

For aromatherapy, breathing in anise eo helps with asthma
attacks. It is also uplifting and
energizing as well as invigorating to the senses.
Magically, this oil is linked to purification and to eternal
youth. It is a masculine oil ruled by Jupiter and the element of air.
Anise essential oil should be avoided if pregnant, has
estrogen related problems, liver disease or alcoholism. Can be a skin irritant
to dilute accordingly.
